Mandrake

Mandrake was the basic substance of the witches' brews of the time and it was the most common example of the misuse of the pharmaceutical qualities of plants from those who were obsessed with the magical and saturnalian rites which some hallucinatory plants were connected with. Mandrake was very much intimated with medieval times and plenty of superstitions and references regarding the powers of this plant, subsist since those times.
